Gil Young Memorial/NW Zone LCM Meet:  (Entry deadline: Postmarked by Friday, June 19th, 2009)

Friday-Sunday, July 10-12th at Mt. Hood is fast approaching.  I am looking for volunteers to assist with various tasks during the meet.  My first priority is finding individuals to trade out as deck runners, marshals, head timer and clerk of course/awards table volunteers.  None of these jobs are particularly difficult, and you will not be doing one thing all day long.  Of course if you are swimming in the meet, I want you to focus on your races.  However, if you think you will have extra time or are not swimming in the meet, I can easily find a job for you. Secondly, if you are willing to bring a dish or goodies of some kind, to donate to the officials/timers hospitality room, please let me know.  Anyone willing to stick around a bit after the meet to help clean up the home pool would be greatly appreciated as well. This is a three day event, and there will be plenty of opportunities for everyone to help out.  Please email me at gustafsona@usa.redcross.org if you would like to help with any of the above.  Meet dates and start times are listed below.  Thanks to you all in advance.  I'm looking forward to a great meet!!

Parkas and T-shirts 

 

Everyone who ordered parkas has received them. There are still a few people who do not

have their t-shirts. Let me know when you will be at practice and I will have them. They

are $18.00.

 

Caps

 

I have ordered 100 caps in black since that's the overwhelming favorite color

I will order some white in the summer for outdoor swimming in the sun.

Everyone gets one for free and you can buy additional caps for 5 bucks until we

are out.

 

I did not order silicone caps because they are so expensive. If you want

a silicone cap, talk to me because the minimum order is 25 at $12.50 a cap. So

that would be a prepaid order gathered up and sent in. I will next work on

shirts for our team which will also be a prepaid order and I will send out a

request for those and the price per shirt.

 

 

Payments

 

Can now be made through Team Unify system or give checks or cash to

me. Payments are due by the 5th of each month.

Time Conversions 

 

Use this tool at Swimming World Magazine's website to convert times between courses.

Payments due:  By the 5th of the month.

Picture pass card:Be sure and get your picture ID at the front desk.

United States Masters Swimming Registration:

Everyone must register for United States Masters Swimming for 2008. Our new team name is on the form.

Even if you are not competing you have to be covered by the insurance. You get free Aquamasters and Swimmer Mags for the membership.
